Ethics and research

The ABMDR has a fully constituted ethics committee which responsibility is to evaluate all research proposals involving the use of ABMDR donors and the ABMDR tissue repository.

The ABMDR ethics committee adheres to the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and reports annually to the Australian Human Ethics Committee (AHEC).

All research proposals submitted to the ethics committee go through a scientific and an ethical review. The closing dates for submissions and ethics committee meetings are published in the Meetings page.

We would like to invite all investigators interested in submitting a research proposal to the ABMDR Ethics Committee, to read the information provided in the Application page.
